Sammy Reeves Fights Cancer

In 2023 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Melanoma. I had surgery to remove the tumor and was given a clean bill of health. Since then I have been going to my dermatologist for routine checks every 3 months. In April 2024, my dermatologist found a spot had come back in my scar. She biopsied it to confirm the cancer had returned. I was sent back to mayo for more testing and a PET Scan confirmed my worse nightmare. The cancer has now metastasized to other areas in my body (my lymph nodes and my labrum) making me now Stage 4. This news has been very hard for my family and I. Along with the expensive cost of treatment (even after insurance) we are doing everything we can to make sure treatment stays on schedule so I can kick this cancer to the curb!
