Sammy needs a new knee!
Donation protected

Sammy’s knee just can’t hold out anymore. As of today, Valentine’s Day 2019, the doctors have scheduled him for a full knee replacement on April 1st (of all days!). The doctors were hoping to put it off for at least another 2 years, since it will only last between 20-30 years, but it can’t wait anymore.
Unlike some, Sammy is lucky to have health insurance, but the premium alone runs $300 a month, and has an $8000 deductible. So in order to make the surgery happen, we’re asking for help. Without the surgery, we aren’t sure how much longer he’ll be able to continue playing drums, let alone work, or walk. As of now, the pain in his knee is extremely bad, and has caused his hip and lower back to be strained, adding to the pain.
We would never ask for help if it weren’t truly necessary. So please, if you can, we would appreciate anything to help. Anything beyond our initial goal will go to Brevard Music Aid to help other local musicians in need, and Genesis Women’s Shelter, in memory of our brother, Shawn Sigafoos.
Thank you,
Merissa & Sammy ❤️
PS - If if you’d like to join us for this year’s festivities, SigFest 2019 will take place at Siggy’s on Saturday, February 23, 2019 beginning around 1pm. We hope to see everyone there for a great day of local entertainment!
