Dear friends,
I lost my precious Sammi last night after Sage had done everything they could to save her. I post my tribute below. You know well that I am fearless—often relentless—in asking for money for Norsled’s incredible rescue dogs; Sam was one. This time I’m asking for personal help.

I live on Social Security and am a fulltime volunteer for Norsled. Our work is worthy and I love it and the dogs. However, recent huge expenses have drained my limited finances. So I am asking for your help to cover Sammi’s vet bill at Sage, around $2000. This cannot bring Sammi back, but not having another major expense will free me up to save more huskies—my passion.

Please help me defray the cost of Sammi’s final visit to Sage. She was a special girl, as all our rescues are, and she and I will both appreciate your support. You can donate any amount. Your love and support mean the world to me, especially now. Here’s what I wrote in her memory:                       

Sweetest Sammi left us Tuesday night at 11:35. Her body systems simply shut down, but she was not in pain. I will remember Sammi in her glory at Husky Club with her friends. RIP, dear pup. She is now an angel and I hope they have mud puddles there for her to splash in. I will continue to feel her paw on my leg as she asked for pets and attention and will not vacuum under the bed for a bit.
Thank you to the wonderful staff and docs at Sage for always going over and above. You are all simply awesome. I appreciate beyond words the love, prayers, and positive energy all her friends sent our way. With three major losses here at Husky Central in the past four months, I am hoping Juno will allow us to keep the companions we have now and not require any of them for higher duty with her. Tilty will stay in her place and give.
