On Feb. 1st, Sam and Bobbi learned that he had metastatic cancer but the source remained unknown. After a few weeks of testing, it was discovered that the source was stage 4 pancreatic cancer that could not be treated. Further testing and consultations with oncologists revealed that Uncle Sam's cancer was very advanced and palliative care at home was all that medicine could do. He is now at home being cared for Bobbie and his 5 adult children and is unable to work as pain management is an ongoing priority. Aunt Bobbi is also unable to work so she can be available for care. In addition to the stress and sorrow that his diagnosis has brought, this has created an unexpected reduction in income. Any donations will be used for medical expenses and to offset the reduced income. Most of us know Uncle Same to be a gentle, gracious, and generous man. As his niece, he and Bobbi, have welcomed me and others into their home and loved us like their own. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and serve as a blessing.
