Hi everyone, I am raising money for my son, Samuel Cohen, because he was just asked to be the first ever athlete from Japan to participate in the Maccabiah Games in Israel. Sam competes at a high level and recently finished with a bronze medal at a National Fencing tournament in Baltimore. We have to raise this in a very short period of time because of the lateness of our notification. Nevertheless, this is an amazing accomplishment for Sam and we wish to help him bring other family members from Japan to watch him compete for the first time. For those who don't know it, Sam is from a small town in Northern Japan that was destroyed by the Great Northern Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011. His grandmother and mother lost their family home and all their possessions. Your funds will be used to help with training, airline, hotel and food for Sam and certain family members and participation fees. Your contributions mean a lot to us and we hope that Sam will be seen by his grandmother for the first time at an amazing tournament. Thank you all and god bless.
