I’m Sami Michelsen, a vocalist and musician from Atlanta.  I’ve been in bands my
entire life and have made my living as a
full time musician for the past 7 years.  Before the pandemic hit, I was touring Europe with Mother’s Finest and pursuing a career with my own project, Reptile Room.  I’ve been devastated financially as well as emotionally, and I have trouble asking for help.  I recently went through some trauma I’m not quite ready to talk about openly yet, and I know that I am in desperate need of some deep healing.  I have never formed a GoFundMe before as I’ve always tried to rely on myself and although I’ve meant well, that can be isolating.  I need help in a way I haven’t before and I’m not sure what else to do apart from asking the world for support.  The goal I’ve set is to raise enough money for me to pay for a week long, spiritual intensive and workshop for women.  The workshop is between $4,000-$5,000 depending on the availability of open rooms by the time I raise the money, and the remainder of the funds will cover my airfare to and from the retreat.  7 is one of my lucky numbers :) so I’m hoping I can use the number of $7,777 to attract a goal reached.  In exchangefor my unwavering gratitude and prayersfor you, I’d love to provide you with a series of live performances (accompanied by video and mo3’s) of your favorite songs., in exchange for your donations - no matter the amount, it would be my honor to return this healing gift you would be giving me.  You can listen to my music at www.reptileroommusic.com as a reference for my sounds, but know that I play every genre and can adapt to any request you have!  The retreat is fast approaching, and the dates are December 14-20th.  Fingers crossed we can reach the goal in time!  If you aren’t able to donate funds, just know that your prayers are welcomed and appreciated all the same.   God bless you just for taking the time to read this.  I love and appreciate you with all of my heart.  God is good and He will put me where He wants me to be.  Thank you!!
