My friend Samira is a mother of twins and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. As a caring mother, she has always unselfishly served her family and friends, even after her diagnosis.  She will be off of work for a while, and has no paid time off. She also doesn't have any immediate family nearby, so her husband is her main caregiver and will need to take some time off of work as well to care for her.  Yet even with a history of cancer taking her dad and a couple of her siblings, her faith has been strengthened and built up in this time of trial.  But the financial cost is real. Her insurance plan has a $7,000 deductible, and her treatment could easily extend into next year (another $7,000).  She already has over $2,000 in bills, and that will increase once she has her surgery and follow-up treatments. And her husband's time-off will have a cost, too. I think that Samira should just focus on HEALING and FAMILY and let others help her out with the money thing.   So how about we all take this burden off her and her family?
