Donation protected
EDIT
After reaching our initial goal of 3000 in 4 days, we are still receiving messages from other amazing people wanting to help and make a donation. In light of this, we have increased the fundraiser to 4000, additional donations will go towards travel and accommodation costs for follow up appointments. Thank you all so very much once again!
------------------------------------------------------
We are the friends and family of Sami and her gorgeous son Lance. Lance was born with a rare genetic condition known as Saethre-chotzen Syndrome. His syndrome has affected Lance in multiple domains including his brain and bones. Despite all that, Lance radiates joy and you'll hardly ever see him without that big smile of his that lights up every room.
Sami has been eagerly awaiting word back from the Chotzen Syndrome specialist team in Adelaide - the leading experts in Australia. After a long and anxious wait, the team have agreed to see him however, she cannot cover the costs to get there. Caring for Lance full time since birth, and to her credit next to entirely on her own, Sami has gone above and beyond to care and provide for Lance as best she possibly can, her continued sacrifices and dedication are truly inspiring and admirable.
During Lance's short 4 years earth side, he has undergone multiple surgeries, invasive procedures, and countless admissions across the state of Queensland with 6 admissions so far this year alone.
Lance is not eligible for any patient travel subsidies because the consult is outside of Queensland. To miss this opportunity would be very disheartening and potentially detrimental to Lance's future progress and development.
So we are reaching out on behalf of the family in hopes to raise enough money to cover travel and accommodation costs for this initial consult and potentially any that may follow.
Attending this consult will be a huge game changer for the pair so we ask with humble hearts, that you please dig deep and share Sami and Lance's story so that we can get these two the help they need!
