It is with heavy hearts that the Class of '09 shares the passing of one of our own. In her time at Oakcrest, Sam reminded us to work hard but to never take things too hard. Life was for living, not for stressing. Whether she was dancing in the hallway, splashing paint in the art room, or running late from our short lunches- she was an example to all of us to be adventurous, always smile, and enjoy every minute of everyday.
In Samantha's honor, we want to raise money for the Harrison House of Virginia. As a classmate and friend put it, "The cost of addiction treatment in general prevents so many people from getting the help that they need and I think Sam would be proud of us if we could try to help others in her name."
