YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
PLANS have been submitted to create 15 traveller pitches at the 16 Acre Sunhill site near to and impacting the villages of Meysey Hampton, Quenington, Poulton, Winson, Hatherop, Honeycombe Leaze, Coln St Aldwyns, Winson, Bibury, Down Ampney, Ampney Crucis, Ampney St Mary, Ampney St Peter, Ready Token, Marston Meysey and Fairford Town itself
Cotswold District Council (CDC) will decide whether a mushroom compost facility next to the Welsh Way can be transformed into 15 traveller pitches, each with space for an ‘amenity building’, touring caravan, mobile home and 2 car parking spaces. The overall plan over time will reflect a significant increase in local population at Sunhill.
The S.A.M (Sunhill and Meysey Hampton) Community Group has been formed to bring you accurate and objective information about the application up at Sunhill. It was agreed by the community that there is need to deliver as comprehensively robust an objection as possible. The suggested strategy was of having more than one expert in the primary discipline, planning, and also some secondary disciplines, such as architecturaland ecological. The cost of this activity will be approximately £5000 and therefore your asistance is appreciated in in funding this initial stage to ensure that the application is rejected by CDC planning. Thank you to those that have already donated your time and money to this local cause.
