OUR STORY
Hello family, friends, and good Samaritans. May I have a moment of your time. For those who know me knows that I am my kids biggest cheerleader and fan in whatever they want to do.
My son, Samaree Lawson, is a junior at Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School, a member of the United House of Prayer for all People, and a vibrant dance student at the Dance Institute of Washington in Washington, DC.
He has a God given talent and passion for dancing. He is so dedicated that he sacrifices all of his time to dancing outside of his school hours. He works really hard and takes his craft very serious.
Samaree was recently awarded a great opportunity to attend the Dance Theatre of Harlem's Summer Intensive Program (6 Weeks) located in Harlem, New York. He was blessed with a Merit Scholarship that will cover his tuition for the entire six (6) weeks.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
However, Samaree is in need of financial assistance with housing, uniforms, meals, and transportation to and from the school. These services are provided by the school at an estimated cost of $4000.00.
There is a strict due date deadline for all monies of April 28, 2017, in which half of the money is due on March 31, 2017. I am asking for your help, great or little, as every dollar counts.
So please continue to be a part of my village and help Samaree take advantage of this great opportunity that he so deserves. Thanks in advance for whatever you can give. May God bless you all.
