= Help Samantha Recover After Serious Car Accident =

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for your support for someone very dear to me — my friend, Samantha Thompson, who was recently involved in a serious car accident.

On Wednesday August 6th, Samantha was in a devastating crash that left her with injuries she will take a while to recover from. On the night of August 6th, she was traveling on a highway in American Falls Idaho, and was struck in a head on collision by a wrong way driver . The accident resulted in a broken pelvis, 4 broken ribs, damage to her intestines and bowel, and very large lacerations on her face and pelvic area. They immediately rushed her to the hospital for emergency surgery. She also needed a second surgery 2 days later. She is very lucky to be alive.

A little back story, at the beginning of Summer, Sam had embarked on a new journey. She wanted to do some exploring in Yellowstone National Park. She had been hiking daily, spotting Bison and other wild life, and enjoying some amazing nature views! She had just finished an 8 mile hike with friends the day of the accident. Everyone knows how active and adventurous Sam is. This accident will set her back for a long time. She's got a long road to recovery still ahead.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll this accident has taken on Samantha is overwhelming. Between medical bills, physical therapy, transportation, and the inability to work for the foreseeable future, the costs are piling up quickly.

We're setting up this fundraiser to help cover:

* Ongoing treatments and rehabilitation

* Basic living expenses while they recover
