Hey yall, im Preston, Samanthas husband. As many of you know, Samantha was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year. After a long, difficult journey, we were hopeful that she was finally on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, during recent appointments, we received the news that the cancer has returned. Because it came back so quickly, doctors have told her that this is something she will be managing for the rest of her life. Meaning she will never be cured.

Samantha will be undergoing another major surgery on October 28th in Florida, At the Mayo Clinic, where a highly skilled surgical team will handle this extremely delicate and high-risk procedure. The tumor is located near her carotid artery, which makes this surgery complex and dangerous. Because of this, she and i will need to remain in Florida for at least a week — possibly longer — for the operation and initial recovery.

As anyone who’s faced medical battles knows, the expenses add up quickly. Between medical bills, travel, lodging, boarding our animals, and time away from work, the costs become overwhelming. Samantha has been hesitant to ask for help, but we want to make sure she can focus on healing and not worrying about finances during such a difficult time.
