Samantha's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hello All! My name is Gayla Eady and I'm an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. I help save the lives of people everyday but now I'm desperately needing help saving the life of my 30 year old sister-in-law Samantha Eady. This year she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma due to a large tumor near her heart. She completed chemotherapy treatments last month in hopes that would cure her cancer. However, her repeat PET scan shows the mass is a little worse and now she'll need radiation. Due to her mom passing away from complications of radiation, Samantha really wants and needs proton radiation treatment instead of regular radiation. However, her insurance didn't approve it and now she will have to pay out of pocket. She needs 20 sessions of proton therapy which will cost approximately $50,000 without insurance. She is in the process of appealing it now but who knows if the appeal process will go through. With the new year around the corner that means meeting more deductibles. During this battle, my brother and Samantha are still working full time and raising my 4 year old niece Hannah and my 2 year old nephew Anthony. Their whole family has been amazingly strong, especially Samantha. They would never ask for help but I'm hoping this will give them strength to keep fighting. What better gift to give this Christmas season than to help this family whom undoubtedly needs to see what Christmas is truly about! I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle and for Samantha to be cured so she can remain a part of her children's lives as well as my brothers and ours. She is truly an amazing person inside and out and this just breaks my heart that she is going through this. Please help her with donating whatever you can afford. Words cannot describe how grateful we will be with whatever donations we get. If you cannot afford donating then please just say a prayer for Samantha and her family. God Bless!
