My name is Eli Shepherd. Samantha and I have been together since August 2, 2022. We got engaged on March 25, 2025. Since then, she has become the light of my life. More than that, she has been the shining star for a lot of people. She is always generous and helps anyone who is in need. On September 7, 2025 we found out that she had a brain tumor. The following day she had surgery to have the tumor removed. But the worst news was yet to come; we would soon find out that this tumor was cancerous. Her official diagnosis was a high grade tumor called a diffuse hemispheric glioma. This specific cancer is incredibly rare and only got reclassified as its own cancer back in 2021 by the World Health Organization. Since receiving this diagnosis, Sam has been receiving treatment at Lexington Medical in Lexington, SC and also has specialists at Duke Medical University in Durham, NC. Unfortunately, her prognosis is dim but we are staying hopeful. There is a possibility of being part of a clinical trial but we are still in the early stages. Any and all donations would go towards her medical bills, normal finances for cost of living, and to help her to continue have a fulfilling life. Please know that every bit counts, whether it be 10 cents or a $1.
