Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to be healthy and capable each day. When we get sick, we instantly feel grateful for the healthy days and want nothing more than to return to a state of restored health. For some the road to regaining health is long and challenging. My dearest friend Samantha is experiencing that challenge with a recent diagnosis of Chiari Malformation. She is one of the most caring souls I have ever met and would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. She’s a loving mother, a radiant beam of positivity, and a brilliant teacher, but right now she is struggling to just be herself. Chiari Malformation has been causing issues for Sam long before her diagnosis. She has fought tirelessly to get the care she needs to relieve her debilitating symptoms. As someone who has relied on the support from others during difficult times, I am organizing an opportunity for others to bestow love and support for Samantha. The last thing a person who is suffering needs is to stress over how to heal and still manage to make ends meet. We have the ability to help others in difficult times and make a difference.
