Samantha’s Battle to Beat Cancer

Hi, I’m Samantha Jayne Kramer! I am a daughter, a sister, a best friend, a Sous Chef, a round one bone cancer survivor. As many of you know I beat my battle with bone cancer May 15th 2022 and was in remission for 15 months.

About a month ago I was at work when my back began to hurt. I figured I pulled a muscle, so I took some Tylenol and didn’t think about it. Slowly after that each day my back became worse. I then was in a small car crash. Little did I know it was a blessing in disguise. I tried to shake off the pain from the crash. Thinking I was just bruise up inside. With out that crash I don’t know if I would have came to the hospital, soon enough to be ahead of this monster. Last Friday my knees became week and would buckle with each step. Over the next few days I’ve almost completely lost my ability to walk. I knew some was wrong.

Once admitted to the hospital I was told my cancer had came back as terminal lung cancer and has moved into my spine causing a break on my L2 vertebrae.

As I sit in the hospital today writing this. I ask for a pray from each of you and anyone new. I ask for help with my bills and way of life. I ask for help to cover my medical bills as I become too weak to work. This help will give me peace so I can focus on my health knowing everything around me is okay. I am waiting for emergency spine surgery then I have a long journey ahead of me with a new chemotherapy treatment.

It’s crazy how fast life changes. One day I’m cooking for my residents in the assisted living facility. Today I struggle to just stand.

I refuse to let this be my story and I am here to fight the biggest battle of my life.

I stand her proudly with my family and friends. We all ask for your help in my fight!

Cancer is the worst kind of monster. It hides in the shadows. It sneaks in to try and destroy families, friends and worst of all the person it invades. Cancer comes in slowly and sneaks little pieces of you to make you theirs. This monster has met their match! I refuse to let it win!
