Samantha's Van
Donation protected
Our daughter, Samantha, was born with cerebral palsy and cannot walk. She uses a motorized wheelchair to get around and go to school. Since her motorized wheelchair cannot fit in a regular vehicle, we purchased a used wheelchair accessible minivan back in 2013. This van was a tremendous blessing as it helped us transport Samantha to and from school, doctor appointments, church and anywhere we needed to go with ease. The used van we purchased was a 2000 Dodge Caravan. Even though it was already an older model when we purchased it, we have done our part to maintain and keep it running so our daughter could be mobile. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a predicament as the van has met its end and is in need of a new engine. The cost to repair is a sizable amount and we feel that investing in an older van is not wise as something else might break down soon. Our resources would be better invested in a newer model. However, wheelchair accessible vans are not cheap – even used ones. That is why we are asking for assistance in obtaining funds to buy a used, but newer model wheelchair accessible minivan. This is our daughter’s legs to move and get around. Right now it is difficult to transport her as we need to pick her up and sit her inside a vehicle which she cannot adjust herself and can’t easily get in. If you find it in your heart to help Samantha get this van, it will be a huge blessing for our family. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated. No gift is too small. We thank you in advance for all your generosity and my God bless you a hundredfold.
