Hey everyone, my name is Damien Fraser, a life long friend to Samantha Laible. I am starting this fundraiser to help Sam rebuild her home and her life.
I have attached her statement she made publicly so patrons and donors can see where exactly she is at. Attached photos will show that she has lost everything. If you can’t donate, I ask that you share this on her behalf.
“This house has been a home to so many friends fur babies and epic memories over the past 20 years.
My once safe haven for any man, woman, child or animal is completely trashed.
If my home had made it - I would have been the first person to open my doors and offer assistance.
It pains me to see it destroyed. It's uninhabitable and I'm completely devastated. My homeowners insurance adjuster flat out rejected my claim due to the cause of harm being flood damage, which is soooooooo different from storm damage. (Learning this the hard way)
I'm at a complete loss for words. FEMA provides a flicker of hope, although the average pay out is a few thousand dollars. I'll be very appreciative for any assistance.
I'm not one to ever EVER EVER EVER ask for help, but I'm humbling myself now.
My place is ruined. Sewer water has destroyed almost everything I own.
Understandably, so many people were hit a lot worse, were seriously injured or had loss of life. My heart bleeds for them. It makes my cries seem ridiculous. Seeing others photos is just gut wrenching.
Once I'm on my feet I'll offer any resource I have to help others in need.
If you find it in your heart and have some spare time (or a hug) please come by as I shuffle thru what's left of my home. Prayers welcomed too.
Cell service is still minimal. But I'll be here all day every day.
