Hi this is Tammy Sisco, Samantha Sisco's mother. Three years ago when Sam was only 18 years old her Dad , Jim Sisco became ill and Sam took on the job of caring for him as she entered her first year as a full time student at Mitchell College. During the past three years she has not only been her father's full time caregiver, a full time college student, but she also works part time on weekends so she could make sure she had gas money to go back and forth to school and take her Dad to all his appointments. Jim was a very well known and respected car salesman for over twenty five years at MJ Sullivan Automotive Co. He was a proud man but heart disease and diabetes suddenly took over his body and he was forced to retire. His health deteriorated quickly. This past year he had to have his left leg amputated below the knee. He was almost legally blind from the diabetes so he could no longer drive Through it all Samantha still took him to all his appointments, transferring him herself because he was wheelchair bound. She was there by her Dad's side through it all.
This past Friday, July 15th Jim was encouraged to go to the hospital but he wouldn't so Samantha left early for work to try to talk him into it. When she arrived at her Dad's apartment she found that she was too late. He had passed away.
Unfortunately we have come to find out that her father had no life insurance in place. So now Samantha is not only trying to come to grips with the realization of losing her Dad and grieving his loss but she has to deal with a burden that no 21 year old daughter should ever have to deal with, trying to figure out how she is going to lay her father to rest.
Please if you can find it in your heart for Samantha to donate to help her with this heavy burden during this very, very difficult time it would be so appreciated. Any and all amounts will help.
Thank you so much,
Tammy Sisco
