Samantha Grado's Hospital Bills

My sister Samantha Grado has recently been diagnosed with Chron's disease. Chron's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, arthritis, skin rashes, anemia, and bowel obstructions resulting in constipation and persistent vomiting. To sum it up, her body's immune system attacks her gastrointestinal track. There is no cure for Chron's, but it can be managed.

She recently had surgery to remove a blockage caused by Chron's only to be admitted again a few weeks later for another blockage. Her small intestines are just not functioning properly (with some of it not functioning at all), due to the severerity of it. The best medication for her to control her Crohn's is not being covered by her insurance as of today, and it has left her with a mountain of health-related debt, and also with the inability to work.

This disease robs her of her life and she spends a lot of time coping with being really sick.  She has been having very painful and unpleasant stomach and arthritis issues for many years now, and has had many, many attempts with different doctors and false diagnoses to find out what is wrong.

Besides dealing with a crippling disease, all her time spent in the hospital, and being sick has left her with a huge burden to not only heal, but to worry about how to pay for all of it. Right now, she is on a liquid diet because her system can not handle anything else.

Sam is a wonderful and caring person, and would do anything for her friends and family. That is why I have set up this donation site, for us to be able to repay her kindness and love.
