Samantha Brown's Cancer Treatment & Recovery

June 6, 2023. One month after Sam's 30th birthday, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma - CD30 Positive. Sam has a small tumor in front of her heart, and some cancer cells were also detected in her bone marrow. The cancer is very aggressive, so Sam will need 6 rounds of chemotherapy (every 3 weeks), 3 rounds of spinal fluid treatment (also every 3 weeks), and likely a bone marrow / stem cell transplant.

The cost of these treatments and the subsequent repercussions to Sam's life are terrifying and daunting. Your contribution will go directly to her medical bills, cost-of-living, and after-cancer care. Sam is also likely to become infertile due to the chemo. She took this news the hardest. She and Josh were certainly not prepared for this and are now considering having her eggs harvested so that she still has a chance of becoming pregnant one day. Your donation would also support this extremely expensive procedure (which is not covered by insurance) as well.

Why support Sam? Sam spends her time spoiling her friends, caring for her community, gardening, working in sustainability, cooking incredible meals, starting book-clubs, singing, dancing, and making everyone laugh and feel loved. No one pours themselves into others quite like Sam. Before this diagnosis, she just got her cottage license (ability to sell food goods prepared in a home) and was planning to start selling products at local farmer’s markets. She is a truly beautiful person, and deserves to return to her 30s without having to worry about not only beating cancer but also whether she can afford to return to normal life.
