Samantha Barker has Breast Cancer, needs your help

Hello all.  I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am going to have a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction surgery soon.  I was also diagnosed with two  “giant cysts” on my liver which may require surgery as well.  My husband, Jeff, and I explained our situation to the plastic surgeon with Zachary (being 60 pounds, wearing a diaper, tantrums, flopping his body, kicking every body part, etc) and he said I need 6 weeks recoup time away from him. I’m an older mom, which means I have an older mom. She is flying down from Montana to help for as long as she can but I don’t expect her to last long (hoping 2 weeks). I’ve spoken with our respite person and we are going to try and work out the next two weeks for him to work most the day and Jeff will leave early from work. This way Jeff does not have to miss a whole pay day every day. The next two weeks we do not have anyone. We cannot afford for Jeff to take time off. I know with COVID and distance learning people cannot come to my home and help with the kids. I really, really do not like asking for help/charity and I wouldn’t if we weren’t in such a bind. We need Jeff to stay home the last two weeks to take care of myself and the boys.  We are asking for your help at this difficult time.  We appreciate you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  The Barkers
