Samantha Aimont is an 11 year old girl that we met during our travels and charity work in the Dominican Republic.  She was born deaf and mute, but with the help of hearing aids and therapy she will be able to hear, talk and have a normal productive life.  She currently lives in a children’s home, El Buen Samaritano,  with over 25 other boys and girls in Vallejuelo, San Juan de La Maguana, Dominican Republic which is where I grew up and lived from the age of 1.5 to 9, my brother Victor from 10 to 18.

Samantha Aimont es una niña de 11 años que conocimos durante nuestros viajes de ayuda humanitaria a Republica Dominicana. Ella nació sorda muda, pero con terapia y audifonos podra oir, hablar y tener una vida normal productiva. Actualmente vive en un hogar de niños, el Buen Samaritano, con otros 25 niños y niñas en Vallejuelo, San Juan de la Maguana, Republica Dominicana. Yo me crie ahi desde los 15 meses hasta los 9 años, y mi hermano el historiador/escritor, Victoriano de los 10 a los 18.

As many of you know, my brother Victor and I have committed our time and efforts these past years to provide assistance and donations to kids and young adults in our beloved Dominican Republic.  On this last trip in October 2021 we visited with Samantha again and were moved by her wonderful personality.  She is a great kid and we are inspired to help her obtain the help she needs that can bring her closer to having a normal life.  

Como muchos de ustedes saben, mi hermano Victor y yo hemos dedicado tiempo y esfuerzo estos ultimos años a proveer asistencia y donaciones a niños y jovenes de nuestra querida Republica Dominicana. En nuestra visita de octubre estuvimos de nuevo con Samantha y nos conmovio su personalidad maravillosa. Una niña maravillosa, nos inspiro a ayudarla a obtener la ayuda necesaria para tener una vida normal.

The cost of the hearing aids for Samantha will be $7,000.  My brother and I are contributing $1,000.00 each towards this cause.  Can you help us achieve this goal for Samantha?
