Sam & Tim's Dominican Mission Trip!
Donation protected
Welcome, friends and family, to our fundraising page! As you may know, I have a huge heart for missions. About a year ago I came home from an 11 month mission trip that took me to 11 different countries. I experienced God’s abundant love and provision in so many incredible, and sometimes unexpected, ways. Thank you, again, to those who supported me in that.

My love for international missions actually started when I went on my first mission trip at just 16 years old to the Dominican Republic. By the grace of God, I have been able to return two more times since my first trip in 2007, and each time was an even bigger blessing than the last. I got to reconnect with people I had met on previous trips, I got to meet the child my family sponsored, and I even got to stay in the church I helped build! (pictured below)
Now, 5 years since my last trip to the D.R., I have the opportunity to return with one of my brothers! Timmy is 15, and a great kid. He is compassionate, hard working, and pretty dang hilarious. I am so excited to watch God work in and through him on this trip!
We will be working with G.O. Ministries and local church leaders to be the hands and feet of Jesus. On previous trips we have helped with the construction of churches, volunteered in feeding centers, and lead children’s ministries for the neighborhood kids. We plan to do a little bit of each of these things during the week we are there. But of course, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about missions, it’s how to go along with God’s plan even if it doesn’t match yours!
But before I get ahead of myself, we need your help. First and foremost Tim and I need prayer, and lots of it! Pray that God would provide for all of our financial needs before the trip. Pray that He would prepare our team’s hearts for the journey ahead. Pray that He would work in the lives of the people we will come in contact with. Secondly, we need your financial support. Fundraising is the hardest part of missions, and it is also the most humbling part. Collectively, Timmy and I need to raise $3,600. This may seem like a big, intimidating number. But I have seen God bring people and resources together to raise so much more. I have seen Him take a bunch of little pieces and build something huge for his kingdom. For example, if 360 people donated just $10 each, we would meet our goal.
