Hello all you wonderful people,
My name is Sam, and I am a transgender man. I first came out to friends and family members when I was 17, and then at 18 came out to everyone. And now, at 21, I am more than ready to have my life changed through surgery.
I have dealt with discrimination and harassment since the day I came out, but I've never felt more comfortable in my identity. But as much as I feel comfortable in my identity, I have always felt uncomfortable in my body. So, after years of wanting this, I finally got the call about Top Surgery! The only thing is, my insurance plan doesn't cover it all, so there is quite a bit of additional expenses I really can't afford seeing as I am a young student, and with the surgery, I will need to take at least 2 weeks off of work.
My surgery is set for October or November of this year. So, it's coming up quick! This is where all you lovely folks come in! I am looking for help to raise funds for my Top Surgery, as well as any other expenses that come with being off of work for a minimum of two weeks, and having to travel for the surgery!
This surgery means everything to me. To finally feel comfortable in my skin is the biggest wish I could ever ask for. So please, all I ask is for anything you can contribute, even if it’s a few dollars.
