Sam’s Memorial Fund

My mom and I never really considered that we’d ever have to do this, but we’re laying my brother to rest.

Sam was my very best friend, and he was a joy and light to everyone who considered him a friend. To say I’m sad would be an incredible disservice to the way I feel. I’ve never felt a sadness and emptiness like I do since I found out about his death.

My mom lost her baby, her youngest child, her Sammy. She buried her husband, her mom, and her son in less than 4 years, and she’s absolutely heartbroken like the rest of us.

As I'm writing this, I’m sitting on 100+ messages from family, friends, and people who cared about him. Everyone has been kind, gracious, and willing to help. We don’t really have any wants or needs right now. It still hasn’t set in that he’s passed.

If you’re looking for a way to help, consider this a way to help my mom. We know he had a lot of friends and impacted a lot of people, but this isn’t an expectation. He’d be mad if he knew I was making this page, so we’re going to do the ONLY thing he’d consider acceptable and make sure my mom is taken care of.
