On Sunday, November 2nd 2025 I struck by an oncoming vehicle while I was riding my bicycle in Oakland. I sustained a compound distal radius and ulna fracture on my right arm and underwent surgery on Monday the 3rd.

As the owner and sole operator of small Screenprinting studio, Rise Above, I am unable to work for the foreseeable future. I am in the long process of recovery, and though my surgery went well, the future of my business, my career and my passion is unclear.

The outpouring of support I have received so far from the community has been heartwarming. (Thank you, all) I feel very lucky to have the support system that I do and that I was not injured more severely. Though I am seeking legal representation, the process is slow and I am seeking support so that my immediate needs are met.

Funds will cover 2 months of rent for the studio, 2 months of lost wages and any medical bills that arise in the meantime.
