Sam Rohloff Memorial and Scholarship

In loving memory of Sam Rohloff (8/19/59-12/24/23) who fought valiantly to win his battle against brain cancer for two very difficult years.

His family has established this fund to promote and support young artist (s) and musician(s) graduating from Laguna Beach High School in 2024. Sam had a never ending love of music and art that led him to Laguna...and he always wished that he could have gone to art school.

Sam's zest for life was epic! A man of many passions and an unwavering commitment to family and friends. His infectious enthusiasm and unrivaled sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Sam's greatest pleasures were photography, art, music, surfing, diving, travel and he'd do anything to put a smile on your face and fill a room with laughter.

His commitment to family and friends was unparalleled. Sam had a heart that overflowed with love and he never missed an opportunity to express it. His hugs were warm and genuine and accompanied by those three cherished words: "I love you."

His departure leaves a void that can only be filled with the memories of his exuberant spirit, eclectic style, infectious laugh, and the love he shared so generously. Not to mention his crazy canyon and Elvis parties. Sam was a bigger than life character and he loved living life to the fullest.

As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Sam with smiles and gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives. May his laughter continue to echo in our hearts, and may his spirit inspire us to live as boldly and passionately as he did.
