Sam, was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer in October 2024. The cancer was aggressive and despite multiple rounds of chemotherapy sadly Sam passed away aged just 39 on 22 December 2025 at home surrounded by her family, and closest friends.

Sam's partner, Mark stepped back from the pressures of management to be at home with Sam, ensuring he was by her side every step of the way while supporting their daughter, Ella who is only 6.

Despite significant side effects from treatment, Sam fought bravely to have more time with Ella and Mark. Throughout 2025, they cherished every moment together as a family, making precious memories that will last a lifetime.

Sam was a much loved teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator at St Silas in Toxteth Liverpool. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, taught alongside her, and the many children and families she supported throughout her dedicated career.

This go fund me page has been set up to help support Mark and Ella. The money raised will go towards supporting Sam's funeral costs and Ella's future.

Charitable donations will also be made to the following charities which provided essential support throughout Sam's cancer journey:

No child should ever lose their mother and Sam has been taken far too soon. Any support that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

The funeral will be held on 16th January at Springwood Crematorium, followed by a celebration of her life at the Palm House Liverpool - the location where Mark and Sam had always planned to marry.
