Help Samson Truong and His Family

Dear Friends and Family,

On behalf of Samson Truong… It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Samson lost his father - Sam Minh Hoang Truong on September 8th, 2024 at 2:55pm. As Samson continues to take on this agonizing stress and grieve with his family - I’m creating this GoFundMe to alleviate the financial concerns this sudden tragedy brought upon them.

Samson’s dad (Sam) had an undetected brain bleed that resulted in a fatal stroke on September 5th, and remained in the hospital in a coma where his status remained unchanged until Saturday. He began to lose neurological function where his pupils were no longer reacting to light, he had no movement, and no reaction to pain throughout his whole body. He was declared brain dead on Sunday, September 8th… two months shy of his 54th birthday .

He loved fishing, football, eating crab, traveling and video games. He took me on my first ever fishing trip and constantly went fishing with his two youngest daughters. Samson attributes his love for football to his dad, and hadn’t missed watching a single chiefs game until this year. Samuel’s passion for video games stemmed from their early Call of Duty matches and Samantha and Samanthia continues to exhibit the purest form of love that their father had given them until his dying breath. Anyone who has met Sam knows that he cared deeply about everyone around him and was always the first to offer a helping hand. Ironically, he was extremely independent and self sufficient - often taking on projects and doing them on his own. He was a hardworking family man who valued God above all else.

He shouldered the entire world and now leaves behind Samson Truong, his eldest son who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease just last year, is now forced to step up and bear the burden of this tragic loss. The second son, Samuel Truong - who is starting his third college year and is still learning to navigate his adult life. His daughter Samantha Truong; a fun loving, kind hearted, and free spirited 11 year old, and Samanthia Truong - a reserved, shy, and sweet 10 year old… both of whom are still in elementary school and loved playfully teasing their dad.

Donations will be used towards hospital bills, funeral expenses. Any extra donations received will be used towards debt accrued due to the unexpected loss as well as education planning for his children.
