Dear friends
I am starting a Go Fund Me page for my son-in-law, Sam Jackson. Sam is married to my daughter Joni and they have 9 precious children. Sam has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. A biopsy was performed and he does have the type that is treatable and possibly curable. That is our hopeful news. We have started the process of getting him into MD Anderson. However the costs will be insurmountable. The initial cost just to get your foot in the door is $15,000 which is a 7 day process to do labs, consult, images, etc. Sam is the AP at Jacksboro High school and the sole income. Joni is a stay at home mom. Jacksboro is a small community with wonderful people who have embraced Sam, Joni and the kids. They are doing everything they can to help. But I wanted to reach out to my FB friends and family. Sam is Joni’s true love and soulmate, her rock and the lifeline of the family. He is a Godly man, a wonderful, dedicated husband and father and is loved and respected by all who know him. I felt it was important to give details to understand the situation. This is my first time to do this. I have been on the other end donating but never this end asking for donations. Believe me I wish I wasn’t writing this. This news has been devastating, but we are praying, trusting in God, believing in healing and it’s all hands on deck, whatever it takes... for Sam to be healed, enjoy watching his kids grow up and grow old with his true love and soulmate.
