Sam Hack and Marilyn Albert-Hack need some help!

If you could help, it would be appreciated beyond measure.

There, that’s the hardest part, and we’ve put off making this ask, but really need.the aid

Our basement, our cars, our major appliances were destroyed by the recent floods. While FEMA flood insurance will help with some things, homeowner’s insurance does NOT cover “Acts of God,” as we’re sure too many former students and their families learned from the Flood of ’93. We remember donating to local relief funds then.

In addition, during the (ongoing) evacuation period the University City police posted signs telling residents to “Keep Out” except during certain hours, which seemingly served as an invitation to thieves, one which they readily accepted to add more loss and vandalism upstairs to the disaster.

So now it’s our turn,reluctantly, to ask for help; We have set up a Go Fund Me Page, and, if you have the inclination and a few extra dollars to help us in our recovery, as we essentially almost start over with household appliances and staples. We thought if maybe even someq of our friends, colleagues, and former students could find even $20…. Such generosity would be greatly appreciated and perhaps generate karma that will find it way back to you down the road. If you cannot give financial help, prayers and good thoughts will also be appreciated.
