Hi, my name is Evan. I’m raising funds to help a hard working man named Sam.

Sam had an unfortunate accident today whilst working DoorDash. He was on his E-Bike delivering a grocery order to a customer when a vehicle turned in front of him, last minute with no signal. In an attempt to avoid collision, Sam slammed his brakes and crash the bike. The vehicle rapidly fled the scene, leaving Sam with minor injuries and his bike erupt into flames.

My girlfriend, mother and I were having breakfast in front of the accident. I had just missed the accident, but at the time I encountered the situation I observed smoke coming from an E-Bike outside the restaurant window. I promptly left the restaurant and ran to my work truck to grab my fire extinguisher. I attempted to extinguish the fire without hesitation. My tank ran out and that’s when I met Sam. Devastated, in shock, me and a few people were making sure he was alright. Briefly finished breakfast with my family, paid the bill, then we waited with Sam until the police came.

Sam wasn’t sure what he was going to do, as that E-Bike was his source of transportation for income. We mentioned GoFundMe, said I’ve never done it before, but if he was willing to put some faith into the community for assistance I’d be more than happy to help with that. He agreed, we exchanged info, and now we’re here.

100% of this fund is going towards another E-Bike for Sam so he can get back to doing his job. I’m here to help right a wrong and assist a fellow community member get back on their feet.
