Sam touched so many of our lives through Shanna, their incredible boys, extended family, friends, community,  and all the years of coaching football and baseball.  He was a dearly loved coach who never approached a field without a positive attitude, welcoming smile, pats on the back, and readiness to encourage our children in the sports they loved.

His love for family,  friends, and even strangers showed through so easily.  No person felt left out around this man.  In coaching,  every individual child mattered and they knew it. In addition to teaching them sports skills, he taught them respect, honor, integrity, and sportsmanship.  Sam left many footprints on the fields he coached on but none compare to those imprinted on the heart of each and every one of us. 

I have been asked by many if there was a GoFund me page for Sam's family.  I spoke with Shanna and asked if I could start one on their behalf. I am honored to help in creating this page in memory of Sam.  In lieu of flowers, etc., please consider remembering this kind, amazing man by donating whatever amount you feel in your heart. The funds go directly into the Balbas boys' account.
