First, we want to thank you for being here. Sam and Molly Johnson have done so much over the years to help so many in our community, and now is the time to show our appreciation.
Sam and Molly have been married for the last 10 years. Sam (32 years old) was diagnosed with terminal cancer this week and was given months to live. Sam has esophageal cancer that has spread to his cerebral spinal fluid. They initially thought he had a stomach ulcer and an endoscopy was done Tuesday and the biopsy results came back the next day and it was Carcinoma. Initially the plan was to do chemo for a month and then reevaluate how the cancer was doing. Unfortunately, over the last couple of days, after Sam’s first round of chemo, he had a sharp decline in his health and they’ve had to place him on hospice. He has one, maybe two weeks to live.
As I'm sure you can imagine this has come as an unbelievable shock to all of us! We are starting a Go Fund Me page to help the family with some of the sudden expenses that have been incurred in this rather sudden tragedy. These funds will help with missed wages, forthcoming funeral expenses, rent, utilities, food, etc. Also, these funds will allow Molly to take off work and allow her to spend the remaining time she has with Sam. Molly’s latest facebook post: “Sam and I have shared 10 amazing years together. I cannot fathom how to go on without him. I love him so much. We're college sweethearts.”
Any donations made will allow her to take time off work to be with Sam every second that she can be.
