Help Sam & Brian while they get their babies home!
Donation protected
I'm raising money to help my sorority sister and her husband Brian as they face unexpected medical challenges during their adoption journey.
Given the nature of adoption, details have to be kept very protected and generic online, so at a high level, here is what they are experiencing----
Sam and Brian received the exciting news a couple of months ago that they have been matched with TWIN baby boys!! They got the call without notice that the twins were born a few states away so quite a distance for traveling- despite this and their desire to extend their family, they immediately said YES! Unfortunately, boys are still in NICU, one of the twins in particular needing extra critical NICU support.
Sam and Brian have been driving back and forth throughout this process spending long weekends in the hospital a few states away and driving back as they still have jobs in Charlotte, NC. Because of the back and forth and Sam being a teacher, she has taken an early leave of absence. The maternity leave for adoptive mothers is very limited, so the leave was not financially ideal, but very necessary.
Through the duration of the twin's recovery in the NICU, Sam and Brian have temporarily relocated there to be with them full time in rotating AirBnbs until they can return home with their new twin boys.
I am raising this money to help with the medical bills for the twins, Sam's leave of absence, hospital expenses, overall expenses of living out of state temporarily.
Please help if you can!
