Sam and Bella Homeless Man and Dog Donations

Sam and Bella live on the South side of Houston commuting into our neighborhood in the Galleria area, to get help. They have a friend who provides a place for them during the day but they stay in a tent at night. Both Sam and Bella do not feel safe at night and have had problems with theft of their possessions many times.
Sam would really like for him and Bella to find a place of their own and a job where he can go every day after his morning walk with Bella. Sam is open to assistance of any kind to help him reach his goals of having a place of his own. He is inseparable from Bella and Bella is inseparable from Sam. She is a well trained service dog that protects Sam and keeps him safe, especially if Sam has an episode resulting from a medical condition.
Sam lives mostly a clean life and can pass a drug test, and does not drink. He has worked at the Car Wash on Voss in the past, and was let go due to COVID. He tried to apply again but has not been called back. He would like to work there again.
Sam likes to paint and to build things. He is skilled as an artist and in mechanical services. He is building a bike with a motor (he needs money to fix the chain), he plans to sell this bike, pictures are posted.
Sam plans to rent an apartment if he can get enough money, and then look for a job the entire month. Before that he was trying to save up 2000 to go move to Arkansas with his uncle where he can rent an apt for 350 a month and get a min wage job at 10 / hour.
He just really does not want to sleep outside anymore. His other main goal is to stay with Bella and make sure Bella is taken care of.
Sam is a veteran. He appreciates any assistance he can get to help him get a job and a place for him and Bella to stay. That is what he really wants. He has a medical condition that causes seizures and he needs other medical care. Disability payments may help, and certainly the VA may be another place for assistance.
This GOFUNDME is linked directly to his checking account and I (Craig) oversee the payments which are sent directly from this site to his account. Today the first payment of 1800 is going to Sam Jan 1st 2021. He will receive it later today or Monday via ACH.

A Galleria area homeless man, Sam and his pet dog Bella, need help. Sam has exhibited a genuine love for his dog, Bella, and our community would like to help him take care of his dog .. and himself! You can read about the incident that has shed light on Sam and Bella's situation, here:
I was just driving down Voss Rd and came across a homeless man sobbing over his dog Bella who collapsed suddenly and wasn’t moving. Another lady offered to load him and his dog Bella into her car and follow me to Vergi. Vergi just took her inside to assess and she thankfully regained consciousness but I have no idea what’s wrong. The poor owner was trying to hand me some cash and was sobbing and thanking me. If you can spare any money to help cover the cost of the emergency visit and care, please call in directly to Vergi (713) [phone redacted] and tell them it’s for Bella. I have honestly never met a dog owner so appreciative. He was absolutely devastated standing over her begging for help bc he didn’t have a car. I’m hoping she’s going to be ok and he won’t have to surrender her to a rescue.
