'Salva Venezia' - Save Venice

The most recent floods to hit Venice are some of the most devastating that the city has experienced in the past 100 years and there are still more to come.
This has caused untold damage to this beautiful city and greatly affected the livelihoods of many local restaurant owners. Many of these people are friends and family of Vaporetto Bar and Eatery and we are looking to help them through this difficult time in any way we can.
The inspiration we have taken from our dear friends in Venice has been invaluable to us and is at the very heart and soul of Vaporetto; so we want to take this opportunity to pay them back when they need it the most.
Vaporetto has set up a dedicated fundraising program involving all our loyal staff and customers starting this Monday 25th of November and running through till Christmas Eve.
We will raise funds by requesting an optional donation of $2 from every table who dines with us over the coming month. In addition, we have set up this ‘Go Fund Me’ page for direct donations during this time.
100% of all money raised will be withdrawn by Vaporetto into our account and then funds will be subsequently transferred directly to our dear friends Bruno and Luca in Venice, owners of ‘Osteria alle Testiere’; they will then distribute the funds to those who have been hit hardest by these floods.
We kindly request and truly appreciate your generous support.
We request your assistance in promoting this Fundraising program in any way possible and sharing the link for the fundraiser. We hope to raise as much money as possible to help our hospitality family in Venice. Grazie!
