In Loving Memory of Salvador Mendez-Diaz

Hi, my name is Fabian Mendez, and I’m raising funds on behalf of my family to honor my father, Salvador Mendez-Diaz, who passed away on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025.

While my dad thankfully had enough to cover the main funeral costs, we’re still struggling with the many other expenses that come with laying him to rest — including flowers, food, the venue, a group performance to honor him, our clothing for the services, and final cemetery costs.

Our family wants to give our dad the beautiful and respectful farewell he deserves. He was a hardworking, loving, and caring man who always put others first. His laughter and kindness touched everyone around him, and we want to celebrate his life surrounded by family, friends, and music — just the way he would have wanted.

As part of his final journey, we will be laying our dad to rest in the same plot as our mother, Martha Gloria Mendez Moreno, who passed away about seven years ago. It brings us great peace knowing they will now rest together forever.

Your donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward these remaining costs as we prepare for his services.

If there are any funds left after covering these expenses, they will be used to help my brother Gusmaro, who was my dad’s full-time caregiver. Since his passing, my brother may be without a job or income, and we want to make sure he has some support to get back on his feet as he adjusts to this difficult change.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who has reached out, prayed for us, or offered help during this painful time. Your support means more than words can express.

En Memoria de Salvador Mendez-Diaz

Hola, mi nombre es Fabian Mendez, y estoy recaudando fondos en nombre de mi familia para honrar a mi padre, Salvador Mendez-Diaz, quien falleció el miércoles 8 de octubre del 2025.

Aunque gracias a Dios mi papá tenía suficiente para cubrir los costos principales del funeral, todavía estamos teniendo dificultades para pagar los demás gastos que conlleva despedirlo con el respeto y el cariño que merece — como las flores, la comida, el lugar para la ceremonia, un grupo musical que queremos llevar para honrarlo, la ropa que usaremos durante los servicios, y los gastos finales del cementerio.

Nuestra familia desea darle a mi papá una despedida hermosa y digna. Él fue un hombre trabajador, amoroso y generoso que siempre ponía a los demás antes que a sí mismo. Su risa y bondad tocaron a todos los que lo conocieron, y queremos celebrar su vida rodeados de familia, amigos y música — tal como a él le hubiera gustado.

Como parte de su último descanso, estaremos enterrando a nuestro padre en la misma tumba donde descansa nuestra madre, Martha Gloria Mendez Moreno, quien falleció hace aproximadamente siete años. Nos da mucha paz saber que ahora descansarán juntos para siempre.

Cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, se usará directamente para cubrir estos gastos.

Si queda algún fondo después de cubrirlos, será destinado a ayudar a mi hermano Gusmaro, quien fue el cuidador de mi papá a tiempo completo. Desde su fallecimiento, mi hermano podría quedarse sin trabajo o ingresos, y queremos brindarle un poco de apoyo para que pueda salir adelante mientras se adapta a este difícil cambio.

Estamos profundamente agradecidos con todos los que han orado, llamado, o simplemente ofrecido su ayuda durante este momento tan doloroso. Su apoyo significa más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.
