Unfortunately, Salvador has been hit with some health issues and we have the opportunity to help out. Sal suffered a stroke at home in Mid June. After being hospitalized and is now at home with his wife, Sal is currently unable to work and will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. Sal is originally from El Salvador, where he grew up living independently outside a gas station. In the 80s, Sal joined the military during the Salvadoran Civil War and later migrated to the U.S in the 90s to start work in the trades. Sal has been working for GLY Construction since 2019 and anyone who has met him has been impacted in a positive way. Luke McArthur, General Foreman for GLY Construction, who has worked in conjunction with Salvador for the past three years, had the following comments about Sal's compassionate character, "Sal is 64 years young this year and is one of the kindest and most appreciative people that I have been around. Every day that Sal has worked for me, he has thanked me for “allowing” him to work. He has a real passion and heart for the generation coming up behind him, always encouraging and teaching others. I know that he and his family would appreciate any amount that anyone would be able to help with."
Aforementioned, Salvador's wife is currently at home with him in Washington but sadly, the rest of his family is still in Honduras and one son in Georgia. Any support given to help Salvador and his family through this adversity will be greatly appreciated.
