FUNDRAISER - 30 Years of SALT LAKE METRO!

Founded in 1995 when I (David Hammer) was 15 years old my Dad, Dave Hammer (Salt Lake Metro Founder and Coach), officially started up the Salt Lake Metro Basketball Program. From kid to 45 years old now. Wow! 30 Years is an extremely long time!

Says a lot for a club basketball organization to last this long! Speaks to my Dad and his character to have a successful program for all these years.

Huge Successes.
544 Guys and Girls that have moved on to play College Basketball.
NBA, WNBA, Overseas Professionals, NFL players and Professional Golfers have all rolled through the program.
Multiple National Championships have been won with two very fun ones I was a part of. We beat Richard Jefferson’s team by 30 in a championship game for one of them. :)

Having witnessed Salt Lake Metro as a player, coach and fan since its inception in 1995 to now it is quite remarkable. Remarkable to see the program keep bringing in amazing players, parents and coaches. Assisting in developing so much talent over all these years.

My Dad does not know I am taking this fundraiser on but I am taking this on fully and putting together alumni dinners for those ages interested. It’ll be fun to reminisce and reunite. Talk about the good old days. Some of the best basketball playing years for many of us Salt Lake Metro Alumns!

If Salt Lake Metro has impacted you please donate and/or maybe comment with a testimonial or fun story of playing in the program. I know my Dad would absolutely love that!

I’m also looking for help if any are interested in trying to round up all the players in your age group for a fun get together of some kind. Please let me know if interested!

My Dad and Salt Lake Metro has never fundraised when many thought he was crazy not to with the impact he has had in the community. No fundraiser at year 10, not at year 20, not at year 25. Well, I am taking on fundraising in year 30 for the program.

My Dad could have made tons more money with the program if he was willing to sell out to all the shoe companies, but he didn’t. Even when everyone was doing it and acting like “you are not cool unless you are a shoe team.” My Dad has kept to a moral code and values and I am very blessed and honored to have been coached by, coached with and most importantly be fathered by a great man!

Thank you for everything Salt Lake Metro!

If you feel called please reach out, reconnect and possibly donate!

Love you, Dad!
