SALON NOUVEAU Covid19 #SmallBusinessRelief
Donation protected
With the sudden turning of events from the COVID-19 pandemic, Salon Nouveau and stylists, just like so many businesses in our community has been greatly affected. While we believe it was the correct decision, the state of Oregon required our business to temporarily close on March 23, 2020.
Each stylist at Salon Nouveau is a self-employed small business owner, which means each of us has our own financial burden to keep our business afloat. Unfortunately, any offered benefits have either been depleted or are unavailable and delayed for each individual as an independent contractor. We applied twice for the city of Hillsboro Small Business Grants and have been amazingly selected for the second round of grants. It was a small grant amount of $1500, but we are so extremely grateful for any help we can receive.
We were not able to generate any income during our closure. Now after 10 weeks of being closed, we are finally able to resume business. Unfortunately every personal service type business, opens with heavy restrictions and additional costs to run our business. This as well, impacts our team, in addition to every stylist being unemployed for that length of time.
All donations will provide financial relief to the salon as a whole. These funds will provide much-needed relief to each of our stylists. The funds will cover the entire salon’s overhead for no more than 3 months, which will reflect to each stylist. This is very hard to ask for help, but I feel it is needed in so many ways for all of us that work at Salon Nouveau.
Any amount is so very much appreciated, and we are extremely grateful. If you do not have anything to donate, then that is okay too, we truly understand. Encouraging comments are always welcome and appreciated.
Please share this with any family and friends that you feel would be able to help! We cannot wait to see our clients at their next appointment!
With much love,
Salon Nouveau Team
