Salmons Family Embryo Adoption
Hi, we are Eric, Paige, Boaz, Lottie, & Ruthie Salmons. We have always had a heart for adoption and are excited to begin pursuing adoption in this season of our life. There are many avenues to adopt through and we feel that embryo adoption is the best fit for our family. Since 1978, IVF has been used for families with fertility struggles in order for them to have a child of their own. Oftentimes, couples will fertilize more eggs than they are able to birth & parent, resulting in a large number of fertilized human embryos waiting for someone to adopt them in order to have a chance at life. The current statistic is that there are around 1,000,000 embryos in freezers across the USA. As followers of Christ, we are convinced that life begins at conception & that these embryos shouldn't end up frozen "longer than their shelf life", donated for scientific research, or "discarded".
Tuesday, August 3rd, we are headed to the National Embryo Donation Center to go to our 1st of 2 appointments in order to adopt a set of embryos as our own. We are thankful for the opportunity to give these babies the potential of life and bring them into our home, and are so excited to grow our family through adoption. We covet your prayers through this process: for a healthy transfer of the embryo, a safe & healthy pregnancy, and wisdom as we help our child understand their adoption over the years. Though embryo adoption is cheaper than domestic or international adoption, we expect to pay around $10,000. If you'd like to join us in this journey by financially contributing to us bringing our baby home, we would be so grateful.
