Salma's Study Abroad in Morocco

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraiser page! I hope you will consider supporting me.

I have officially been accepted to a summer abroad in Morocco with the Global Navigator High School Abroad program run by the Council on International Educational Exchange. The CIEE is the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization. Through exchange programs the CIEE helps youth gain the knowledge and skills necessary  in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. 

For three weeks I will be mentoring underprivileged youth at a summer camp in Mohammedia, Morocco and learning more about Moroccan history and culture. I will get a chance to meet with government leaders, teachers, and activists. I will also be able to discover the current issues affecting this country. I'm really excited to be given the chance to become more familiar with part of my family's heritage. As most of you might know, my maternal grandmother is from Morocco.

I am so thankful to have been given this amazing opportunity to study abroad. However,  I will need support in funding the trip. Every little bit helps! My participation in this program will not be possible without donations from my loving family, relatives, friends, family friends, and anyone else who is so gracious to contribute to my summer learning abroad experience.
