Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

‎إنّا لله وإنّا إليهِ رَاجعُون، البقاء لله

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient 2:155

Who, when faced with a disaster, say, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” 2:156

Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. 2:157

My brothers and sisters, this Go Fund Me page is in honour of our beloved sister Salma Abdihukun Ashkir. Salma was the brightest most cheerful girl who touched many people's hearts with her good character and beautiful smile. But most importantly she was an amazing daughter, sister, cousin and friend to all. However, after falling ill, our Sister was called back to Allah عز وجل.

This page will be dedicated to working for our sister Salma’s Aakhirah (afterlife), where collectively, by the will of Allah عز وجل, our Sadaqa tul Jaariya will be a continual source of Thawāb (Reward) for her.

 Out of all the different types of sadaqah, taking care of orphaned children was one of the main ways our beloved Salma wished that she could’ve given freely. The following Hadith was what inspired her to choose this form of sadaqah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together.

We ask Allah SWT to make our Salma and all those who donate close neighbours of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Ameen.

We ask everyone to please keep this dream of hers in mind and to donate sincerely and generously.

Please keep Salma and her family in your Dua’as.
