Sally's battle with Motor Neurone Disease
Donation protected
Sally is a loving wife and mother of 4 who has been facing some difficult challenges in the last few years.
On the 10th of May, Sally was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer which she has been bravely fighting for a year, including undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Over the last few months, Sally had begun to experience some unusual symptoms which at first was thought to be due to her chemotherapy. On Thursday the 18th of May this year, Sally received the devastating news that she has Motor-Neuron disease (MND). Sadly, Sally has been told she has 12-18 months to live.
Sally’s family have begun noting down her wishes and what she wants to achieve in the next 12-18 months of her life. Along this Sally’s wishes, her family have also begun making plans for two of her sons. Sally and Rex have two sons who have autism – because of this they live with Sally and Rex who are the primary carers for them. Amongst all the challenges Sally will face in the next 12-18 months, the family also need to plan care for her sons moving forward.
The several medical bills, living arrangements for her sons and fulfilling some of Sally’s final wishes comes with a huge financial burden for Sally and her family.
Sally and her family would be extremely grateful for any contribution that can be made.
