Sally's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
A scene that takes your breath away, makes your stomach feel like the bottom fell out and makes your heart and soul ache. We see it often, but never think it will happen to someone close to us. And then it happened. Time stood still, as someone we love had their life almost taken away from them and us.

Yesterday (September 8) around 11am our dear friend Sally, was T'd in an accident that sent her flipping and twirling ultimately landing 60 - 80 feet from the original point of contact.  When the Jeep landed it caught fire, but because of the quick action of good samaritan the fire was put out before it could engulf the scene harming her even more.

She survived, and was coherent and talkative at the scene before being sedated so they could remove her safely from the car. She was life flighted to St. Davids in South Austin where we received word that she doesn't have any life threatening injuries (thank you god!), but has sustained significant injuries - broken leg in several places, several broken ribs, fractures in her arm and spine (she is NOT paralyzed) and collapsed lung. She will have to undergo several surgeries and a long stent in the ICU and an even longer stent in the hospital before she will be released. Once released, the real work and the long road to recovery will begin; and she'll need all of us who care for her to get through. We MUST be strong for her, because it's her who has always been strong for us.

Because of Corona she is not currently employed, and like so many of us doesn't have insurance to sustain the long road of recovery she has in front of her.  We are asking for her friends and family to show their love and support for her by donating to this fund, that will fully go towards her recovery.

We are trying to raise $30,000 - that's just $100 across 300 people. We all know that Sally knows and has touched the lives of a ton of people, it's our time to show her what this community can do. Please donate what you can, and $100 if possible. She needs us now more than ever.

Let's help bring back our girl.
