With an extremely heavy heart, I hate having to share, but my little brother, Kevin Fugate, tragically and unexpectedly passed away Oct 31st. My poor brother was incredibly tormented being Bipolar, suffered from Severe depression and chronic anxiety. He fought an incessant unrelenting battle with these beasts, yet despite them was such an amazingly sweet, kind, loving soul, the most incredible father to my precious nieces, and loving husband. His joy and reason to continue to fight were for the deep bond and love he had his daughters, Bailey Fugate now 12 and Ezabella now 13.
Nine years ago a miracle, and beautiful angel came into his life, Sally Fugate his current wife. Despite my brothers demons, she fell in love with him and his spirit, loved him unconditionally, supported them financially, emotionally, and mentally, cared for him, giving him the incredible gift of her, and she along with his two beautiful daughters became a powerful force for love, light , and joy. If it were not for her support and her incredible love for him, there is no doubt my brother would not have lived as long as he had. I cannot thank her enough for that and her incredible strength, commitment and the life, joy and love just brought to his life.
It is for her and my dear nieces I am devastated for.
As we all know, life can be incredibly cruel and unfair, and sometimes when it rains it storms.
Not only has this incredible woman cared for my brother and now has to deal with his loss, but she has been caring for both of her parents as they both have cancer, and she has to drive them all the way from El Paso to Albuquerque New Mexico for treatment, all while trying to maintain a full-time job. As life would have it, their car completely died the week before my brothers death. In addition, with the work she has missed taking care of them, bills have piled up, house taxes have not been able to be paid, the end of life expenses for my brother, life has been beyond a strain I can imagine.
My parents are strapped for cash as my father is disabled, and while we all will do our best to help and alleviate as much as we can, I am creating a gofundme page for Sally in hopes that anyone who finds it in their heart to help us, help her, can. The goal is to help provide money so she can get a dependable new used car so she can work to support herself and my nieces, take care of her parents and be able to travel with them to Albuquerque for their treatments, help her to pay the home taxes so not to lose their house, and hopefully get some footing. Anything would help, and if not please at least keep my parents, my sister in law and my nieces in your thoughts and prayers during this wretched time.
