Salish Stride is a team of 7 female runners and 3 male runners from Whatcom County who have earned the right to compete at the national level for the Junior Olympics. They run for various Whatcom middle and high schools and have come together to compete in the 13 - 14 year old age bracket at Nationals. The female runners placed first at the regional meet and have a good chance of winning the national title. As individuals they also placed very well at regionals and have a chance to compete at the highest level both as a team (for the girls) and as individuals (for everyone). This opportunity has come together quickly, so we are fundraising for these athletes to make this financially possible. The National Finals for Junior Olympics in cross country is taking place in College Station, TX on Dec 10. We hope to raise funds to help cover the travel and lodging expenses for the athletes.
